Selected software companies and the results we achieved:

Kenan Systems/Lucent Technologies: Telecommunications billing, customer-care, and mediation
Led sales teams in Americas: $35M to 170M in 2 years. Led growth in Latin American business: zero to $70M in two years. Acquired by Lucent for $1.5B. Lucent subsequently spun it of and sold this software products group to CSG Systems. CSG sold it to Comverse in fall 2005.
 

Unica: Enterprise marketing management
Nurtured company from startup as advisor. Later tapped by founder to build out sales, marketing, and alliances. As EVP, took sales from $3M to $20M in under two years. Unica has eclipsed its better financed rival Epiphany and successfully competed an IPO in summer 2005.

OnDisplay: Content management
Pre-funding cofounder. OnDisplay was acquired by Vignette after a successful IPO valuing the company at greater than $1.5B.
 

EntitleNet/BEA: Access/entitlement management software
EntitleNet was acquired by BEA Systems. creating a positive ROI for investors during possibly the worst technology recession in history. Assisted in fundraising and advised on acquisition.
 

LavaStorm Technologies: Telecom billing restitution and revenue recovery software
Project work. Assited in negotiating partnering agreement with
Telcordia. Lavastorm has been acquired by Martin Dawes Systems a leading provider of billing, revenue assurance, and CRM solutions to the communications industry.

 

Conjoin: Sales force effectiveness
I was invited to take this on by two investors who were my mentors at Teradyne. Increased average deal size by 3x and successfully positioned company for acquisition by Intranets.com (now part of Webex).
 

XMPie: Variable data publishing
As Interim EVP of sales and marketing, built teams and tripled sales in two quarters.
